Introducing MIRAVIS® the new fungicide that delivers best-in-class efficacy in all conditions.
MIRAVIS provides up to 21 days’ protection against powdery mildew in grapes. It’s hard working disease control.
MIRAVIS key benefits
- MIRAVIS delivers excellent performance against Powdery Mildew (Erysiphe necator) when applied at 20mL/100L.
- MIRAVIS offers up to 21 days protection against Powdery Mildew (Erysiphe necator) on treated plant material.
- MIRAVIS provides an alternative mode of action to deliver a strong resistance management tool.
- MIRAVIS delivers excellent performance under all weather conditions.
Why is MIRAVIS restricted to until pre-flowering (EL19; BBCH49) in wine grapes?
Using MIRAVIS at the registered rate of 20mL/100L during flowering would expose Botrytis cinerea to a non-efficacious rate of Pydiflumetofen. The restrictions are designed to prevent Botrytis cinerea resistance from developing.
Pre-flowering is also the most critical time for the most effective control of powdery mildew, both in this season and reducing carryover for next season.
What is the rain fast time of MIRAVIS?
MIRAVIS is rainfast in 1 hour.
Length of control?
MIRAVIS offers long lasting (up to 21 days) rainfast control of Powdery Mildew under all weather conditions on treated plant material.
What products does Syngenta recommend in between the two sprays before flowering?
TOPAS®, THIOVIT JET®, Prosper* and any non GROUP 7 fungicide.
Advantage over other SDHI chemistry?
The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) has given approval for use of MIRAVIS on wine grapes.
Advantages over other chemistry?
MIRAVIS has equal to or better efficacy against Powdery Mildew providing longer lasting control – up to 21 days - and is an alternative fungicide mode of action (MoA) group compared to Prosper, Digger*, Bayfidan* and Telando*.
What is the ideal mixing partner?
REVUS® is the ideal mixing partner for MIRAVIS and offers long lasting (up to 21 days) rainfast control of Powdery Mildew and Downy Mildew under all weather conditions.
MIRAVIS & Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
MIRAVIS is generally suitable for use in IPM programs. Two representative arthropod species (predatory mite (Typhlodromus pyri) and parasitoid wasp (Aphidius rhopalosiphi)) were tested and there were no treatment-related effects on survival and reproduction of either species at any rate.
Crop safety in grapes?
MIRAVIS was tested in five different grape varieties (cv Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, White Frontignac, Menindee Seedless, Riesling)
In four crop safety trials which evaluated MIRAVIS at 100mL to 300mL/100L (3x concentrate application) no phytotoxicity was observed that was associated with fungicide application on grapevine leaves, flowers or fruit
There was no impact on yield from fungicide application or on shoot growth.
