Syngenta Australia, a leading global plant health company, is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with #PlantASeedForSafety, a renowned for-purpose organisation dedicated to promoting rural health, safety, and wellbeing. The three-year collaboration aims to amplify the message on the importance of rural safety, foster community resilience, and create a positive impact on the lives of farmers and their families across the country.
With a shared vision of creating safer and healthier rural communities, Syngenta Australia and #PlantASeedForSafety will join forces to raise awareness, provide resources, and offer support to those working in agriculture, where occupational hazards and challenges are prevalent. This partnership will leverage the expertise, networks, and resources of both organisations to maximise their collective impact and deliver fun, meaningful initiatives that take a proactive approach to addressing critical issues affecting the well-being of rural communities.
As part of the partnership, Syngenta Australia will contribute financial support to #PlantASeedForSafety, enabling the organisation to expand its outreach programs, develop educational resources, and deliver targeted campaigns aimed at improving rural health and safety practices. By collaborating with #PlantASeedForSafety, Syngenta Australia aims to help champion a culture of safety and resilience within the agricultural sector and empower individuals to prioritise their well-being while carrying out their vital work.

The first initiative is the establishment of a Syngenta Rural Health, Safety and Wellbeing Steering Committee, comprising of staff across Australia, representing different areas of the business including Sales, Technical Services, Support Services and Vegetable Seeds.
The committee members include:

- Ryan Collins from Western Australia
- Tim Fraser from Queensland
- Brandy Rawnsley from South Australia
- Megan Williams from New South Wales
Throughout the three-year partnership, the committee, under the guidance of #PlantASeedForSafety, will deliver various initiatives, such as awareness campaigns, educational workshops, community events, and the development of practical resources tailored to the needs of rural communities.
By combining their expertise and resources, the two organisations strive to champion a culture of improved health and safety, enhance community resilience, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of Australian agriculture.
