Fight powdery on three fronts

Powdery Mildew close up

To prevent mite damage and minimise early Powdery Mildew infection, protective sulphur applications form the basis of many early grapevine spray programs. However, for Powdery Mildew, the period leading into flowering and during the five weeks after is an even more critical time. Protection from infection throughout flowering, fruit set and early berry development when the crop is very susceptible to Powdery Mildew is absolutely critical. During this time growers may need to reach for the power of a fully systemic fungicide.

TOPAS 100 EC fights Powdery Mildew on three fronts to deliver between 10 and 21 days protection. It has translaminar, vapour and systemic activity, is IPM friendly and has wide tankmix compatibility.

1. Translaminar

Translaminar activity makes sure that fungi can be controlled from the inside the plant, irrespective of whether the attack comes from the upper side or lower side of the leaf.

2. Vapour

TOPAS provides extra security to control Powdery Mildew through its significant vapour phase activity (shown in laboratory and greenhouse trials).

3. Systemic

Inside the plant, TOPAS is transported upwards and outwards in the xylem, providing quick and efficient protection of all green tissue against disease infections.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

TOPAS is suitable for use in IPM programs; TOPAS is harmless to bees and predators in situations where integrated mite control is practiced.

TOPAS has full compatibility with copper oxide and copper oxychloride and can be mixed with a wide range of other products.
