This permit is issued to the Permit Holder in response to an application granted by the APVMA under section 112 of the Agvet Codes of the jurisdictions set out below. This permit allows a person, as stipulated below, to use the product in the manner specified in this permit in the designated jurisdictions. This permit also allows any person to claim that the product can be used in the manner specified in this permit.

CONDITIONS OF USE

Product to be used:
CRUISER 350 FS INSECTICIDE SEED TREATMENT (APVMA No. 51833)
PLUS OTHER REGISTERED SEED TREATMENT PRODUCTS
Containing: 350 g/L THIAMETHOXAM as their only active constituent.
 
Restraint:
DO NOT ALLOW TREATED SEED TO CONTAMINATE GRAIN OR OTHER SEED
INTENDED FOR ANIMAL OR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.

Critical Use Comments:
  • Use higher rate in areas where higher pest pressue is expected or a longer period of control is required.
  • Crops should be monitored and sprayed as needed should there be later infestations by aphids.
  • When cereal seed has been treated with CRUISER 350 FS, the first foliar insecticide spray must be from a different insecticide group (not Group 4A).
  • DO NOT feed treated seed, or otherwise expose, to wild or domestic birds. See Protection of Birds precaution on the product label.
 
Withholding Periods:
Harvest: Not required when used as directed.
Grazing: DO NOT graze or cut for stock feed for 8 weeks after planting.
 
Jurisdiction:
ALL STATES, except VIC and NSW.
Note: Victoria is not included in this permit, as their Control-of-Use legislation means a permit is not required to legalise this off-label use in that state.
Note: An off-label permit is not required in NSW as the situation falls within Clause 57 of the Pesticides Regulation 2017 (NSW). All other aspects of product use must be in compliance with the label instructions in order to meet the criteria for exemption in NSW.
 
Additional Conditions:
This PERMIT provides for the use of a product in a manner other than specified on the approved label of the product. Unless otherwise stated in this permit, the use of the product must be in accordance with instructions on its label.
 
PERSONS who wish to prepare for use and/or use products for the purposes specified in this permit must read, or have read to them, the details and conditions of this permit.
 
INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING:
Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to CRUISER 350 FS or other Group 4 insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if CRUISER 350 FS or other Group 4 insecticides are used repeatedly. See Insecticide Resistance Warning and Aphid Resistance Management on the product label.
 
EXPORT OF PRODUCE:
To allow treated produce to be supplied or otherwise made available for human consumption, Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) have been established for Thiamethoxam in the commodity ‘Cereal grains [except Maize; Sorghum]’ at *0.01 mg/kg. These MRLs apply only to produce marketed and consumed in Australia. If treated produce is to be exported, due account should be taken of the residue definition and residue limits/import tolerances of importing countries; any residues must not exceed those requirements of the importing country.
