Neville Arentz, an adviser from Manangatang, has lead the industry to adopt new technologies to obtain sustainable production efficiencies in a challenging and very variable area for several decades now. As a result he has earned himself a nomination into the Sustainability category.
Neville is a pioneer and true leader in micro nutrition, minimum tillage, liquid injection and spray application technology, among other things, in the region. He oversees a local trial site, always ensuring that new technologies can be demonstrated for a local fit. His core principles are centred around, but not limited to, the sustainability of the land and the success of his growers’ businesses and his own.
Neville has mentored young agronomists, two of which currently work in the business and are now leaders themselves within the industry both locally and further afield.
