This product has been superseded by Amistar 250 SC Fungicide.
AMISTAR WG is a fungicide based on naturally occurring substances found in certain species of wild mushrooms. The active ingredient in AMISTAR, azoxystrobin, is unique and has a very wide spectrum of disease control across grapes, potatoes, tomatoes, cucurbits, avocados, mangoes, passionfruit and poppies.
AMISTAR is highly suitable for use in Integrated Pest Management programs, because it is harmless to beneficial organisms such as predatory mites and parasitic wasps at field application rates. The product is also harmless to honey bees and earthworms. AMISTAR is available in a WG formulation in a unique package with an extendable measuring cap.
Recommended Uses
AMISTAR controls:
Early Blight and Late Blight on potatoes
Powdery Mildew, Downy Mildew and Gummy Stem Blight on cucurbits
Early blight, late blight and sclerotinia on tomatoes
Stem End Rot and Anthracones in avocados and mangoes
Downy Mildew, Powdery Mildew and Botrytis bunch rot on grapes
Downy Mildew in poppies
Alternaria and Cladosporium in passionfruits.
For optimal results, it is recommended that AMISTAR be applied early in the disease cycle. This enables maximum advantage to be derived from the powerful combination of activity against spore germination and mycelical growth.
